29/06/2016 – The Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup 2016 will be back on track this coming weekend at the Nurburgring for the third act of an exciting and battled season.

I.S.R. racing has already shown its quality and the growth of the Audis R8 LMS in the round of Brands Hatch, where the Czech outfit took its maiden pole position in this category, also claiming a deserved podium. Marlon Stockinger (PHL) and Franck Perera (FRA) will drive the n.74 car trying to be again among the main protagonists after the great British weekend, while Frank Stippler (GER) and Filip Salaquarda (CZE) will share the wheel of n.75 machine aiming to a strong result in top positions.

The racing weekend will start on Friday July 1st with the two free practice sessions scheduled at9:40 and 13:50 (GTM +2). The drivers will battle for pole position on Saturday July 2nd at 9:00, while the Qualifying Race will follow at 14:30. The warm up will kick off the Sunday programme at 8:30, as the much awaited Main Race will get green lights later on at 14:45.

Live TV coverage will be granted by Motors TV in Europe, while Eurosport and Bloomberg will show the highlights of the weekend. Eurosport Asia, Bloomberg and Fox Sport 3 will broadcast the event in Asia. Live streaming with English or French commentary will be available atwww.blancpain-gt-series.com.

“Nurburgring is always exciting, even in its shorter layout. Brands Hatch gave us a lot of satisfaction and we get to this round motivated to confirm our potential with a strong performance. We will try and defend our fourth place in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup Teams standings and look for some further points to close in on the top three. It is going to be tricky though, as weather could be an unpredictable variable in the mix”.

“The German race on such a legendary circuit always give a special pleasure, even if on the short configuration. We are in a “busy” period, with many races in a row and the Spa 24 at the door. So this is literally a very hot period for the summer temperature and for the huge efforts we are producing so far”.
